A 3PL (third party logistics) is an outsourced provider that manages all or a major part of a business’s logistics requirements and performs transportation, locating, and sometimes product consolidation activities. In addition, the 3PL’s owner of the products would outsource different parts of the supply chain. The outsourcing could include inbound and outbound freight.
