Limited distribution is an introductory offer on a new national or branded product introduced in a specific geographic area. It can be a product which is only sold within a specific location, through a specific chain of stores, through the sale of a product within a particular geographic region, or through specific stores or companies. For example, a manufacturer might initially limit the distribution of a new battery to a single retail chain.
