An aisle closer is a movable merchandiser or an item used to close an aisle.  By using a movable merchandiser or an item, consumers are aware the checkout lanes or aisles are not open. There are many types of aisle closers, such as a light off; signage which states closed; or chain across the entrance of the aisle.
